About Me:
I am an enthusiastic pursuer of an ever deepening knowledge of myself and existence. I love to enjoy and be happy within the experience of my life. A Chinese friend of mine says my name translates as Bright Light in Chinese. I choose to be a positve, supportive, accepting and appreciative source of energy in the interactions and experiences within my life.
I currently reside in my home town, a place where the energy always seems to draw me back. Once an alternative Chiropractor, utilizing many varieties of methods and modalities, as my path of discovery of existence widened, to eventually manifest in my practice as a facilitator, empathically connecting with those who seek my assistance. I lend energy and understanding to the mental, emotional and physical difficulties they are presently experiencing. Energy work, “Soul Retrieval” help with dream interpretation, and other methods to access and understand the deeper nature of their being, are some of the methods I use to bring people the opportunity to experience the results they desire.
In 2003 I chose to leave for Seoul, South Korea, where I spent a year teaching English as a second language, and exploring Buddhism to a little greater degree.
I returned to the states and took a few months off, then once again began to write a book I had attempted to write while in Korea. While writing the book, I chose to retire my Chiropractic license, since I hadn't really practiced conventional Chiropractic for about a decade anyway, and I felt life taking me down yet another path at that time. I subsequently took a position working with troubled youth in a crisis shelter near my home. Retiring my license was a decision made easier by a new law I helped to put into place in Minnesota, whereby a practitionor of Alternative methods is free to offer help to others under existing state laws. So while I began to explore the understanding of this new direction, I continued to share with people in a manner that gave them the opportunity to move beyond their challenges.
While creating this experience for myself, I also finished and self published my book, Healing Takes No Time. A relatively brief, about 130 pages, informational piece, that discribes some of the ways I viewed mental, emotional and physical health, and it's connection to a deepening understanding of the knowledge and awareness of self. Of course, several years has led to a number of revisions I would now make, as my awareness has continued to expand and deepen.
I approach my understanding of self in a very experiential manner. Concepts and words and ideas, are all good beginings, however; probing the depth of your lifes experiences with an observant consciousness, and an acceptance and appreciation of the knowledge to be gained there, has no peer.
I believe life is most fulfilling when lived in a growing sense of understanding and enjoyment, flowing from the realization that it is ourselves that bring about the experiences we percieve on a moment by moment basis.
At various times in the past ten years, I have facilitated or co-facilitated gatherings of individuals, who share a common goal of a deeper awareness of self and their experiences and enjoyment of life.
At present I am employed with an international biotechnical company, working within one of it's branches here in Minnesota, as I continue to bring about interactions that deepen my awareness of myself.
Life continues to be increasingly interesting and fun!
